Notes: Cream flowers. These are perennials.

Family:  Lamiaceae

Region of Origin:  South Africa

Notes: Lavender flowers

 

Species:  Canna

Family:  Cannaceae

Notes: Yellow with red streaks

Notes: Orange with a yellow edge. These are wild gladiolas.

Common name:  Natal Flame Bush

Family:  Rubiaceae

Region of Origin:  South Africa

Notes: Red flowers. The Oak tree that was there has been cut down, so this plant has been branching out. The bark is used in traditional medicine, but the wood is almost useless because it breaks very readily, hence the common name Breakout.

Notes: Lavender/blue flowers. Called Butterfly Bush because of the shape of the flowers

Notes: Has new foliage, which is light green.

 

Species:  Westringia brevifolia

Family:  Lamiaceae

Region of Origin:  Tasmania

Location in Garden:  Australian Garden

Notes: Pale lavender flowers. Very popular low-maintenance plant.
